Find Update Facility and review directory visibility

Locate the shared facility form’s save control and distinguish facility-directory visibility from knowledge-site access.

Before you begin

An authorized administrator has opened a valid facility edit form.

1. Review visibility before saving

Near the end of the shared form, inspect Make this facility public. It controls the facility’s platform-directory discoverability. It does not change whether the knowledge website is public or customer-only. The focused screenshot was captured under the synthetic Other estate’s own Facility Admin; the checkbox remained unchecked.

2. Save using Update Facility

After checking valid details, select Update Facility at the end of the shared form. The focused screenshot is an extra unsaved Other-facility draft used only to show the control; that draft was cancelled. The five facility guides each contain a separate actual saved-description result with an independent API readback.

Create and edit defaults can differ

In the audited source, the schema declares a false visibility default while the new-form defaultValues set is_public to true. Existing-facility edit resets the form from the saved record. Read the actual checkbox value and approved visibility policy each time; do not infer it from schema defaults.
