Freeze settlement inputs, acknowledge external posting and read close blockers.

Before you begin
- Canonical advice and cash records for the period.
- Accounting integration ownership and cash-management access.
1. Review settlement completeness
Inspect both ledgers, unresolved suspense, unnotified receipts and financial exceptions for the intended period.
2. Create the accounting manifest
Use accounting-manifest to freeze the exact RCM advice/cash rows and totals handed to accounting. This manifest is the evidence boundary; it does not invent a general-ledger journal inside RCM.
3. Export and acknowledge
Use the supported accounting-export-payload and accounting-export-ack operations with the external accounting system’s actual evidence. Retain the exported manifest identity and acknowledgement.
4. Evaluate close readiness
Read accounting-close-readiness and resolve its blockers. Perform accounting-close only when the evidenced state supports closing the period.
External accounting remains separate
RCM provides immutable posting evidence and acknowledgement controls. Presence of these APIs does not prove a specific external accounting connector is installed or that a journal was posted.
Auditable period
Keep manifest, export and acknowledgement references together so a later reviewer can reconcile the source ledgers to the accounting handoff.
Troubleshooting
Readiness is red
Resolve the exact returned blocker, such as missing posting evidence, unsettled records or outstanding notices. Do not relabel an unacknowledged export as a completed accounting posting.
