Before you begin
- Insurer and administrator roles already established.
- Current administration agreement and transaction scope.
1. Identify the parties
Select the actual insurer and administrator and retain the signed agreement. A null administrator represents an explicitly self-administered insurer rather than incomplete data.
2. Define the delegation
Record the insurer set, delegated functions, supported message types, effective dates and runoff terms. Keep an unanswered authority as unknown.
3. Check overlapping scope
Use the setup comparison or overlap simulation to find competing routes. Each supported message and scenario must resolve to one evidenced route.
4. Approve and verify the route
Submit the rows through review and publication, then inspect the selected agreement and route in a decision trace during a controlled test.
Runtime ambiguity
When candidate routes tie, the subsystem fails closed into an administrative queue. It does not guess the recipient. The remedy is to resolve the conflicting scope and publish a new evidenced version.
Production readiness
A reachable endpoint cannot establish commercial authority. The enterprise readiness check separately evaluates production routes for eligibility, prior authorization, claim and payment.
Troubleshooting
Two routes match the same request
Review dates, insurer set and transaction scope. Correct the agreement or routing configuration and obtain approval before replaying the held transaction.
