4. Review and save the two rows once

Choose Save once and wait for the saved table: exactly two In Progress/Normal rows, each quantity one, under the same Draft. Normal here is initial metadata, not a receipt. Save before leaving or reloading; an open editor is not an autosave. If Save reports an error, inspect the saved table before retrying, because some rows may already have saved.

Verify both saved rows are Completed/Normal and the parent remains Pending. The row selection clears after receiving. Selection disables Mark as Completed; the item states must also be finalised before parent completion.

Manual Add Item selects the current product master and existing stock lot. It does not automatically link the row to the original dispense, lock the original paid price or enforce a cumulative return quantity across earlier returns. Verify the patient, original completed batches and intended one-unit quantities before Save. The credit uses the current Product charge definition. In this exercise, current SAR 6.30 and SAR 1.00 match the independently checked original sales; do not assume that will always be true. An existing zero-stock incoming lot can be selected for receipt, but that is not proof of physical goods or permission to return an unrelated batch.

Keep receiving, Draft credit and error correction separate

Normal receiving changes usable stock. Completing the parent then creates the unissued Draft credit. A valid return may remain Completed with its Draft for the authorised financial workflow; no payout, issuance, tax or payer finalisation is established here. Entered in Error is optional correction of this deliberately mistaken entry and requires the still-Draft refund and available Normal quantities. If an item should remain unreceived instead, use Abandon an unreceived return item and keep the parent Draft. Use the shared Damaged-return lesson for that separate condition; do not substitute Normal for Damaged to force stock availability.

Troubleshooting

A similar HYMOX name or zero-stock lot causes confusion

Compare each result’s own displayed code. The intended HYMOX registration is 0307222296; the prefixed-name result with GTIN 06281086000793 is different. Open the stock picker to read the full batch, expiry and current price. Zero stock is allowed for this incoming selection, and A must be chosen while B remains unchecked. A shortened closed label is not enough to identify the full lot.

The refund amount or Cancelled document looks like a payment

Keep the two reverse lines and base minus SAR 7.30 separate from configured rounded invoice total minus SAR 7.00 and the account balance. A Draft is unissued. After the optional staged correction, that same invoice is Cancelled and retains historical amounts; the restored account is zero due and original paid SAR 68.00. Check the existing payments rather than treating a negative invoice total or recurring Invoice Created notice as a new payment. Software Update notices are unrelated to the return result; no Update action forms part of this lesson.
